HDPE Solid Wall Pipes for Underground Cable Protection

HDPE Solid Wall Pipes provide a robust and reliable cable protection solution for underground power and utility networks. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with smooth internal and external surfaces, the pipes are available in black, with or without co-extruded red identification stripes.

Designed for both conventional and demanding installation methods, the pipes can be joined using butt fusion or electrofusion welding to create secure, watertight systems suitable for underground cable protection. Their mechanical performance has been verified for high-voltage cable applications, including trenchless installation techniques such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and Pipe Bursting.

To ensure reliable operation where power cables generate elevated temperatures, the system is engineered to withstand continuous cable operating temperatures of up to 80°C and short-circuit temperatures of 160°C (up to 5 seconds).

Available in diameters from 25 mm to 1200 mm, the range includes sizes compliant with CEI EN 61386 as well as SDR classes defined by EN 12201-2.
