This configuration offers enhanced protection through a multi-layer construction. The microduct assembly includes water-blocking technology to reduce moisture ingress, combined with a flexible inner polyethylene sheath and a tough outer burial-grade sheath. This dual-layer design ensures improved durability and long-term performance in demanding environments.
Direct Bury with Foil (DB) Microduct Tube Bundle
This solution incorporates a 125µm aluminium layer within a reinforced polyethylene structure for enhanced protection. A flexible black inner sheath is combined with a heavy-duty orange outer sheath to ensure suitability for direct burial applications. Pre-installed ripcords run the full length of the bundle, enabling controlled and efficient sheath removal during installation.
Direct Install (DI) with Foil Microduct Tube Bundle
Designed for ducted installations, this system features a foil-reinforced structure for added protection within existing infrastructure. The aluminium layer is bonded within a flexible polyethylene sheath, while a full-length ripcord allows for fast and efficient access during installation and preparation.
Direct Install (DImf) Metal-Free Microduct Tube Bundle
This lightweight, metal-free system is designed for installation within existing duct networks rather than direct burial. It consists of polyethylene microducts with low-friction performance, enclosed within a protective outer layer designed to limit moisture migration. The system is available in different internal duct configurations to suit varying installation requirements, offering a balance between flexibility, strength and blowing performance.
