PE100 Solid Wall Pipes for Pressurised Water Networks

PE100 solid wall pipes are manufactured from high-performance polyethylene (PE100), offering a Minimum Required Strength (MRS) of 10 MPa and a design stress (σS) of 8 MPa. Designed for pressurised water distribution networks, these pipes feature smooth internal and external surfaces to maximise hydraulic efficiency and deliver long-term, reliable performance.

Available in black, with or without co-extruded coloured identification stripes, or in solid blue, the range is produced in outside diameters from 20 mm to 1200 mm. Pipes can be supplied in either coils or straight lengths, providing flexibility for a wide variety of installation requirements.

Description

Features & Benefits

  • Permanent Watertight Performance
Delivers a fully watertight piping system, helping to minimise leakage and maintain long-term network integrity.
  • Excellent Flexibility
The inherent pliability of PE100 allows the pipe to accommodate ground movement and simplify installation, particularly over challenging terrain.
  • Comprehensive Size and Performance Range
Available in a wide selection of diameters and pressure ratings, enabling systems to be tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Exceptional Chemical, Electrical and Biological Resistance
Resistant to corrosion, chemical attack, biological growth and stray electrical currents, ensuring dependable long-term performance.
  • Outstanding Abrasion Resistance
Provides excellent protection against wear, making it suitable for demanding operating conditions and extended service life.
  • Low Modulus of Elasticity
The flexible material properties help absorb external stresses and adapt to ground settlement without compromising structural integrity.
  • Resilient Under Ground Movement
The ductile characteristics of PE100 enable the pipeline to perform reliably in unstable ground conditions and under dynamic loading.
  • Reduced Number of Joints
Long pipe lengths and coil options minimise the number of joints required, reducing installation time and lowering the potential for leakage.
  • Homogeneous Piping System
Compatible fusion welding techniques create strong, continuous joints, resulting in a fully integrated and homogeneous pipeline network.
  • Lightweight Construction
Easier to transport, handle and install than many traditional pipe materials, helping to reduce labour requirements and installation costs.
  • Superior Resistance to Corrosive Environments
PE100 offers greater resistance to aggressive chemicals and corrosive conditions than many conventional piping materials.
  • Enhanced Operational Security
High material strength and reliable jointing contribute to a safe, dependable water distribution system with minimal maintenance requirements.
  • Cost-Effective Solution
Reduced installation time, lower maintenance demands and an extended service life contribute to a lower total cost of ownership.
  • Environmentally Responsible
Fully recyclable, supporting sustainable infrastructure development and environmentally conscious construction practices.
